Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 ounces Tequila Blanco
- 1 ounce White Cranberry Juice
- 1/2 ounce Cointreau (or another orange liqueur, like Triple Sec)
- 1/2 ounce Fresh Lime Juice
- 1/4 ounce Simple Syrup (adjust to taste)

- Coarse Salt (for rim)

- Fill Shaker: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice (about two-thirds full).
- Add Ingredients: Pour in the tequila, white cranberry juice, Cointreau, lime juice, and simple syrup.
- Shake Well: Close the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds.
- Strain and Serve: Strain the margarita into the prepared salted glass filled with fresh ice.
- Garnish: Garnish with a lime wedge, cranberries, and a sprig of rosemary.
- Enjoy!
Notes
- Use a good quality Tequila Blanco for the best flavor.
- Make sure to use white cranberry juice, not regular cranberry juice.
- Adjust the amount of simple syrup to your sweetness preference.
- Freshly squeezed lime juice is essential for a bright flavor.
- For a sweeter rim, use sugar instead of salt.
- For a spicy kick, add a slice of jalapeño to the shaker.
- To make simple syrup, combine equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan. Heat and stir until sugar is dissolved. Simmer for 1 minute, then cool completely. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
- For a non-alcoholic version, omit the tequila and replace it with more white cranberry juice or sparkling water.
- Infuse your tequila with flavors like vanilla bean or cinnamon for a unique and festive twist.
- Elevate your salted rim by using flavored salts like chili lime salt or rosemary salt.
- For an extra festive touch, freeze the cranberries before using them as a garnish.
- Add a splash of sparkling wine or Prosecco to the margarita after it’s been strained into the glass for a bubbly and celebratory twist.
