Description

Warm and comforting Vanilla Cinnamon Milk Tea, perfect for a cozy treat. Brewed black tea infused with milk, vanilla, and cinnamon, sweetened to your liking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy, your preference!)
  • 2 black tea bags (or 2 teaspoons loose leaf black tea)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, plus more for garnish
  • 12 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (adjust to your sweetness preference)
  • Optional: Whipped cream, for topping
  • Optional: Cinnamon stick, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the Water: In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Steep the Tea: Remove from heat, add tea bags (or loose leaf tea in infuser). Cover and steep for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Remove Tea Bags/Infuser: Remove tea bags/infuser, squeezing gently.
  4. Add Milk: Pour milk into the saucepan with the brewed tea.
  5. Heat the Milk and Tea: Return to medium heat. Gently heat, stirring occasionally, until warmed through (gentle simmer, 2-3 minutes). Do not boil.
  6. Stir in Vanilla and Cinnamon: Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla extract and ground cinnamon.
  7. Sweeten to Taste: Add honey or maple syrup, starting with 1 tablespoon. Stir well and add more to taste.
  8. Strain (Optional): Strain through a fine-mesh sieve if needed.
  9. Pour into Mugs: Pour into your favorite mugs.
  10. Garnish (Optional): Top with whipped cream, cinnamon, and a cinnamon stick.
  11. Enjoy Immediately: Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Spice it Up: Add a pinch of ground ginger, nutmeg, or cardamom.
  • Use Different Teas: Experiment with Earl Grey, English Breakfast, or chai tea.
  • Make it Iced: Cool the tea before adding milk and sweetener, then pour over ice.
  • Adjust the Milk-to-Tea Ratio: Adjust to your preference.
  • Use a Milk Frother: For an extra frothy milk tea.
  • Make a Large Batch: Double or triple the recipe.
  • Sweetener Alternatives: Use agave nectar, sugar, or stevia.
  • Infuse the Milk: Infuse the milk with a vanilla bean.
  • Cinnamon Syrup: Use cinnamon syrup instead of ground cinnamon and honey/maple syrup.
