Ingredients
Scale
- 6 large croissants, preferably day-old
- 8 ounces sliced turkey ham
- 8 ounces shredded cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or a blend)
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the croissants in half horizontally. If they are fresh, let them sit out to dry slightly.
- Lay the bottom halves of the croissants in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, fitting them snugly together.
- Layer the turkey ham evenly over the croissant bottoms, folding slices as needed.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese generously over the turkey ham.
- In a large mixing bowl, crack the 6 eggs and add 1 cup of milk.
- Stir in 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon of onion powder. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Whisk the egg mixture until well combined and smooth.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered croissants, turkey ham, and cheese.
- Gently press down on the croissants to ensure they absorb the egg mixture.
- If you have leftover croissant tops, place them on top of the bake, ensuring they are soaked in the egg mixture.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the egg is fully set.
- Check for doneness by inserting a knife into the center; it should come out clean.
- Let the bake cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
- Slice into squares or rectangles and transfer to plates or a serving platter.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
