Description
A refreshing Strawberry Gin Cocktail with fresh puree, gin, lime, and club soda. Perfect for summer or relaxing.

- 6 fresh strawberries, hulled
- 2 oz gin (London Dry style recommended)
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 0.75 oz simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water, heated until sugar dissolves)
- 2 oz club soda, chilled
- Strawberry slice, for garnish
- Lime wedge, for garnish
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Hull strawberries and macerate them with 1 tbsp simple syrup for 10-15 minutes (optional, but recommended).
- Blend strawberries (and juices) until smooth.
- Strain puree through a fine-mesh sieve for extra smoothness (optional).
- Chill your cocktail glass.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Add gin, lime juice, simple syrup, and strawberry puree to the shaker.
- Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds.
- Double strain into the chilled glass.
- Top with club soda.
- Garnish with a strawberry slice and lime wedge.
Notes
- Adjust Sweetness: Taste before adding club soda and adjust simple syrup or lime juice as needed.
- Gin Variations: Experiment with different gin styles (floral, juniper-forward, etc.).
- Spicy Kick: Muddle a small piece of jalapeño with the strawberries for a spicy twist.
- Mocktail: Omit gin and replace with sparkling water or tonic water.
- Strawberry Infused Gin: Combine gin and sliced strawberries in a jar and let it sit in the refrigerator for a few days. Strain before using.
- Frozen Strawberries: Thaw completely before blending.
- Other Berries: Experiment with other berries, such as raspberries or blueberries.
- Rim the Glass: For a festive touch, rim the glass with sugar. Moisten the rim with a lime wedge and then dip it in sugar.
