This Sparkling Vodka Cranberry Cocktail combines tart cranberry juice, fresh lime, and bubbly soda for a refreshing drink perfect for any occasion. Easy to make and visually appealing, it’s sure to be a hit at your gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 4 ounces cranberry juice (preferably 100% juice)
  • 1 ounce club soda or sparkling water
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice (about half a lime)
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime wedges, for garnish
  • Fresh cranberries, for garnish (optional)
  • Mint leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Gather Your Tools: Ensure you have a cocktail shaker, jigger (for measuring), stirring spoon, and a glass (preferably a highball glass) ready.
  2. Measure the Ingredients: Measure 2 ounces of vodka and pour it into the cocktail shaker. Then, measure 4 ounces of cranberry juice and add it to the shaker.
  3. Add Fresh Lime Juice: Squeeze half a lime to get about 1 ounce of fresh lime juice and pour it into the shaker with the vodka and cranberry juice.
  4. Shake It Up: Add a handful of ice cubes to the shaker. Secure the lid tightly and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until the shaker feels cold.
  5. Prepare Your Glass: Fill your highball glass with ice cubes to keep the cocktail cold.
  6. Strain the Mixture: Strain the cocktail into your prepared glass, revealing a lovely pink hue from the cranberry juice.
  7. Add the Sparkle: Measure out 1 ounce of club soda or sparkling water and gently pour it over the cocktail for a refreshing fizz.
  8. Garnish Your Cocktail: Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim of the glass. Optionally, add fresh cranberries and a sprig of mint for an aromatic touch.

Notes

  • For an extra refreshing experience, chill your glasses in the freezer for 10-15 minutes before serving.
  • This cocktail pairs well with light appetizers like cheese platters, shrimp cocktails, or spicy nachos.
  • If hosting a party, consider making a pitcher by multiplying the ingredients and mixing in a large pitcher, adding club soda just before serving to maintain fizz.
  • Feel free to experiment with flavors by adding a splash of other juices or fruits.
