Instructions
- Preheat: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare Dish: Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
- Apple Pie Filling: Spread apple pie filling evenly across the bottom of the dish.
- Pineapple: Pour undrained crushed pineapple over the apple pie filling, spreading evenly.
- Spices: Sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg evenly over the pineapple layer.
- Cake Mix: Pour dry yellow cake mix evenly over the fruit and spice layers.
- Pecans: Sprinkle chopped pecans evenly over the cake mix.
- Butter: Drizzle melted butter evenly over the entire surface of the cake mix and pecan layer.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Check for Doneness: Insert a toothpick into the center. If it comes out clean or with just a few moist crumbs, the cake is ready.
- Cool: Let cool slightly before serving (about 15-20 minutes).
- Serve: Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
