  • Author: Dottie
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 12-16 servings 1x

Description

Enjoy these S’mores Bars, a delightful twist on the classic treat featuring layers of graham crackers, rich chocolate, and fluffy marshmallows. Baked to perfection, they offer a gooey, sweet dessert ideal for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of graham crackers (about 14 full sheets)
  • 1 cup of milk chocolate chips (or chocolate bars, broken into pieces)
  • 2 cups of mini marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract (optional)
  • Cooking spray or parchment paper (for lining the baking dish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a baking dish (9×13 inches is ideal) by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it with cooking spray.
  3. Break the graham crackers into halves or quarters to cover the bottom of the baking dish.
  4. Arrange the graham cracker pieces in a single layer at the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the milk chocolate chips (or chocolate pieces) over the layer of graham crackers.
  6. For a more decadent experience, add an extra layer of chocolate on top.
  7. Spread the mini marshmallows evenly over the chocolate layer, covering it completely.
  8. For a toasted flavor, consider using larger marshmallows cut in half.
  9. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, sea salt, and vanilla extract (if using). Mix well.
  10. Drizzle the butter mixture over the marshmallows.
  11. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes, watching for the marshmallows to puff up and turn golden brown.
  12. For a toasted marshmallow finish, switch to broil for the last 1-2 minutes, being cautious to avoid burning.
  13. Remove the baking dish from the oven and let it cool for about 10-15 minutes.
  14. Cut the s’mores into squares or rectangles using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
  15. Serve warm or at room temperature, optionally drizzling extra melted chocolate over the top.
