  • Total Time: 260 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Description

Decadent no-bake Nutella pie with a chocolate wafer crust and a creamy Nutella filling. Easy to make and perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups chocolate wafer crumbs (about 36 wafers)
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 16 ounces (2 cups) Nutella
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Whipped cream
  • Chopped hazelnuts
  • Chocolate shavings

Instructions

  1. Crush the Chocolate Wafers: Crush the chocolate wafers into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing with a rolling pin.
  2. Combine with Sugar and Salt: In a medium bowl, combine the chocolate wafer crumbs, granulated sugar, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Add Melted Butter: Pour the melted butter into the bowl and mix until the crumbs are evenly moistened and resemble wet sand.
  4. Press into Pie Plate: Transfer the crumb mixture to a 9-inch pie plate. Press firmly and evenly across the bottom and up the sides of the pie plate.
  5. Chill the Crust: Cover the crust with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Soften Cream Cheese: Ensure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature.
  7. Beat Cream Cheese: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
  8. Add Nutella: Add the Nutella to the bowl with the cream cheese. Beat until fully incorporated and smooth.
  9. Whip Heavy Cream: In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  10. Fold in Whipped Cream: Gently fold the whipped cream into the Nutella mixture in two or three additions until just combined.
  11. Add a Pinch of Salt: Stir in a pinch of salt to enhance the flavors of the filling.
  12. Pour Filling into Crust: Remove the chilled crust from the refrigerator. Pour the Nutella filling into the crust, spreading it evenly.
  13. Chill the Pie: Cover the pie with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
  14. Garnish (Optional): Before serving, garnish with whipped cream, chopped hazelnuts, and chocolate shavings.
  15. Slice and Serve: Slice into wedges and serve.

Notes

  • Use high-quality Nutella for the best flavor.
  • Don’t overmix the filling to avoid a dense texture.
  • Chilling the pie thoroughly is essential for the filling to set properly.
  • Get creative with garnishes to customize your pie.
  • For a Peanut Butter Nutella Pie, add a layer of peanut butter to the bottom of the crust before adding the Nutella filling.
  • For a Chocolate Chip Nutella Pie, fold in some mini chocolate chips into the Nutella filling for added texture and flavor.
  • For an Espresso Nutella Pie, add a teaspoon of instant espresso powder to the Nutella filling for a coffee-flavored kick.
