Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup brewed coffee (cooled)
- 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 tablespoon sugar (or to taste)
- 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- Ice cubes
- Mint sprigs for garnish
- Lime wedges for garnish
Instructions
- Brew 1 cup of your favorite medium roast coffee and let it cool to room temperature. If you’re in a hurry, chill it in the fridge.
- Taste the cooled coffee and add sugar to your preference, stirring until dissolved.
- Rinse 1/4 cup of fresh mint leaves under cold water and pat dry. Roughly chop the leaves to release their oils.
- Cut a lime in half and squeeze out 1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice. Set aside.
- In a large glass or cocktail shaker, combine the chopped mint leaves, lime juice, and sugar (if not added to the coffee). Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press the mint leaves to release their flavors.
- Pour the cooled coffee into the muddled mint mixture and stir well. Then, add the milk and stir again until combined.
- Fill a tall glass with ice cubes and pour the mint coffee mixture over the ice.
- Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a lime wedge on the rim of the glass.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing Mint Mojito Iced Coffee!
Notes
- For a sweeter drink, adjust the sugar to your taste.
- Experiment with different types of milk or add flavored syrups for a unique twist.
- For a non-caffeinated version, substitute coffee with strong brewed herbal tea.
