  • Author: Dottie
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

This Mint Mojito Iced Coffee offers a refreshing blend of brewed coffee, fresh mint, and zesty lime, making it the perfect drink for warm afternoons or a revitalizing pick-me-up. Enjoy it over ice, garnished with mint and lime for an invigorating twist on your classic iced coffee.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup brewed coffee (cooled)
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (or to taste)
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Mint sprigs for garnish
  • Lime wedges for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brew 1 cup of your favorite medium roast coffee and let it cool to room temperature. If you’re in a hurry, chill it in the fridge.
  2. Taste the cooled coffee and add sugar to your preference, stirring until dissolved.
  3. Rinse 1/4 cup of fresh mint leaves under cold water and pat dry. Roughly chop the leaves to release their oils.
  4. Cut a lime in half and squeeze out 1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice. Set aside.
  5. In a large glass or cocktail shaker, combine the chopped mint leaves, lime juice, and sugar (if not added to the coffee). Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press the mint leaves to release their flavors.
  6. Pour the cooled coffee into the muddled mint mixture and stir well. Then, add the milk and stir again until combined.
  7. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes and pour the mint coffee mixture over the ice.
  8. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a lime wedge on the rim of the glass.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing Mint Mojito Iced Coffee!

Notes

  • For a sweeter drink, adjust the sugar to your taste.
  • Experiment with different types of milk or add flavored syrups for a unique twist.
  • For a non-caffeinated version, substitute coffee with strong brewed herbal tea.
