  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 4 glasses 1x

Description

Enjoy a homemade cream soda that blends rich heavy cream, sweet vanilla syrup, and fizzy club soda. This refreshing drink is perfect for warm days and gatherings, topped with whipped cream, a maraschino cherry, and fresh mint for a touch of elegance.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of club soda or sparkling water
  • 1/2 cup of vanilla syrup
  • 1/4 cup of milk (optional)
  • Ice cubes
  • Maraschino cherries (for garnish)
  • Whipped cream (for topping, optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, pour in 1 cup of heavy cream.
  2. Add 1/2 cup of vanilla syrup to the heavy cream. (For homemade syrup, combine equal parts sugar and water, heat until dissolved, and add a splash of vanilla extract.)
  3. If desired, add 1/4 cup of milk for a creamier texture.
  4. Whisk the mixture until well combined and slightly thickened.
  5. Cover the mixing bowl with plastic wrap or transfer to an airtight container.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  7. Fill tall glasses or mason jars with ice cubes, about halfway.
  8. Optionally, drizzle extra vanilla syrup inside the glasses before adding ice for a visual effect.
  9. Once chilled, stir the cream mixture to ensure it’s well mixed.
  10. Pour the cream mixture over the ice-filled glasses, filling them about halfway.
  11. Slowly pour in 1 cup of club soda or sparkling water into each glass.
  12. Gently stir with a spoon to combine without losing carbonation.
  13. Top each glass with whipped cream for an indulgent touch.
  14. Add a maraschino cherry on top of the whipped cream.
  15. Garnish with fresh mint leaves for color and aroma.
  16. Serve immediately while cold and fizzy.
  17. Encourage guests to stir gently before sipping to mix the flavors.

Notes
