Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 cup of club soda or sparkling water
- 1/2 cup of vanilla syrup
- 1/4 cup of milk (optional)
- Ice cubes
- Maraschino cherries (for garnish)
- Whipped cream (for topping, optional)
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, pour in 1 cup of heavy cream.
- Add 1/2 cup of vanilla syrup to the heavy cream. (For homemade syrup, combine equal parts sugar and water, heat until dissolved, and add a splash of vanilla extract.)
- If desired, add 1/4 cup of milk for a creamier texture.
- Whisk the mixture until well combined and slightly thickened.
- Cover the mixing bowl with plastic wrap or transfer to an airtight container.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Fill tall glasses or mason jars with ice cubes, about halfway.
- Optionally, drizzle extra vanilla syrup inside the glasses before adding ice for a visual effect.
- Once chilled, stir the cream mixture to ensure it’s well mixed.
- Pour the cream mixture over the ice-filled glasses, filling them about halfway.
- Slowly pour in 1 cup of club soda or sparkling water into each glass.
- Gently stir with a spoon to combine without losing carbonation.
- Top each glass with whipped cream for an indulgent touch.
- Add a maraschino cherry on top of the whipped cream.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves for color and aroma.
- Serve immediately while cold and fizzy.
- Encourage guests to stir gently before sipping to mix the flavors.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, consider using homemade vanilla syrup.
- Adjust the amount of milk based on your desired creaminess.
- This drink is best enjoyed fresh, but you can prepare the cream mixture ahead of time.
