Enjoy the perfect blend of fresh strawberries and rich chocolate with this simple Chocolate-Covered Strawberries recipe. These visually stunning treats are ideal for any occasion, bursting with flavor and customizable with various toppings. Perfect for sharing or gifting!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh strawberries (preferably large and ripe)
  • 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 4 ounces white chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)
  • Sprinkles or crushed peppermint candies (for decoration)
  • Parchment paper (for cooling)

Instructions

  1. Wash the strawberries under cool running water, gently scrubbing to remove dirt.
  2. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels. Ensure they are completely dry.
  3. Let the strawberries sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine semi-sweet chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using).
  5. Microwave on high for 30 seconds, then stir. Continue microwaving in 15-second intervals, stirring after each, until melted and smooth.
  6. Set aside to cool slightly.
  7. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  8. Hold a strawberry by the green stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, swirling to coat. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
  9. Place the dipped strawberry on the parchment paper. Repeat with all strawberries, leaving space between each.
  10. Add sprinkles or crushed peppermint candies immediately after dipping while the chocolate is still wet.
  11. In a clean microwave-safe bowl, add white chocolate chips and microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  12. Optionally, add coconut oil for a smoother consistency.
  13. Use a fork or piping bag to drizzle melted white chocolate over the chocolate-covered strawberries.
  14. Be creative with your drizzling patterns.
  15. Let the strawberries sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to set. Alternatively, refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.
  16. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Best enjoyed within 24 hours.
  17. Arrange on a festive platter, garnished with fresh mint leaves or additional sprinkles. Perfect for holiday gatherings or as a sweet gift!

Notes

  • Ensure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to prevent chocolate from sliding off.
  • Feel free to customize decorations with different toppings or drizzling patterns.
