Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound of pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 6 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Cook the Chicken: If you haven’t already cooked your chicken, boil, grill, or bake it until fully cooked. Let it cool slightly, then shred or dice it into bite-sized pieces.
- Cook the Bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy (about 6-8 minutes). Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease and crumble once cooled.
- Mix the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, crumbled bacon, shredded mozzarella cheese, ranch dressing, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll Out the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle (about 12×16 inches) to an even thickness of about 1/4 inch.
- Add the Filling: Spread the chicken and bacon filling evenly over the dough, leaving about an inch of space around the edges.
- Roll the Dough: Starting from one of the long edges, roll the dough tightly away from you, tucking in the edges as you go. Pinch the seam to seal.
- Seal the Ends: Tuck the ends of the stromboli under to seal them and pinch the seams to ensure they are well sealed.
- Prepare for Baking: Place the rolled stromboli seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush the top with the beaten egg.
- Make Slits: Using a sharp knife, make a few diagonal slits on top of the stromboli to allow steam to escape.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Check around the 20-minute mark.
- Cool Slightly: Remove from the oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes to allow the filling to set.
- Slice and Serve: Slice the stromboli into 1-inch pieces and serve warm with extra ranch dressing on the side. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
- Enjoy: Gather your friends or family and enjoy this delicious Chicken Bacon Ranch Stromboli!
