Crispy Buffalo Blue Cheese Fries are a delicious combination of golden fries topped with melted cheddar, spicy buffalo sauce, and tangy blue cheese. Perfect for sharing as an appetizer or enjoying as a tasty snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 1 cup buffalo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Rinse the russet potatoes under cold water and pat them dry. Slice each potato into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Soak the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  4. Drain the potatoes and pat them dry thoroughly with a kitchen towel.
  5. Toss the dried potato strips in a large bowl with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until well-coated.
  6. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  7. Arrange the seasoned potato strips in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  9. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the shredded cheddar cheese, stirring continuously until smooth.
  10. In a separate bowl, combine the buffalo sauce with half of the crumbled blue cheese for a creamy texture.
  11. Take the crispy fries out of the oven carefully.
  12. On a serving platter, layer the crispy fries and drizzle melted cheddar cheese over the top.
  13. Drizzle the buffalo sauce mixed with blue cheese over the cheesy fries.
  14. Sprinkle the remaining crumbled blue cheese over the fries.
  15. Garnish with chopped green onions and fresh parsley.
  16. Enjoy hot and fresh as an appetizer, snack, or side dish.
  17. Serve with extra buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
  18. Gather friends or family to share this delicious dish!

Notes

  • For extra spice, add more buffalo sauce to the mix.
