Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large croissants
  • 8 slices of deli ham
  • 8 slices of cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the croissants in half lengthwise, being careful not to cut all the way through.
  3. Place the sliced croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, and honey (if using). Mix until well blended.
  5. Season the mixture with a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Spread a generous spoonful of the mustard-mayo mixture on the inside of each croissant half.
  7. Layer two slices of ham on the bottom half of each croissant.
  8. Place two slices of cheese on top of the ham.
  9. Close the croissant by folding the top half over the filling and press down gently.
  10. In a small bowl, whisk the egg until well beaten for the egg wash.
  11. Brush the egg wash over the top of each croissant.
  12. Optionally, sprinkle fresh parsley on top for added flavor.
  13. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  14. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  15. Transfer the croissants to a serving platter. Serve whole or cut in half for sharing.
